An Inside Scoop on FOX News

A southern belle moves to New York to satisfy her big-city dreams. She gets a job with NewsCorp. After a while she leaves the job. Then she starts a blog, on which she writes:

At 22 I began working for Fox News Channel. I idolized Sean Hannity and longed to be Laurie Dhue so I put up with the grunt work, minimum wage, leering, middle-aged producers (not to mention Bill O’Reilly’s roving eye). The environment was toxic. A few months under the thumb of Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes and I had undergone a crash course in personal compromises, professional concessions.

haha - another "foreigner" from the nether-regions of our very own country, way out beyond the Hudson River...stuck (by choice) here in NYC, beating on, like boats against a current, borne back ceaselessly into the past...

wow an entry level job where you have to have personal compromises and professional concessions hard to believe.

I know my first job they put me in charge of dictating everything right away.

Fair enough, but I would add that just because that was your experience doesn't mean you have to make it everybody else's, Mr. O'Reilly.

No, you should have signed your post as a partisan republican with a broken record stuck in your larynx.

so only a partisian republican would point out that entry level jobs deal with professional and personal compromises? If you say so.

I wonder if peggy noonan ever had to compromise when she worked for Dan Rather at CBS before going to write for Reagan. Of course she did. did she bitch about it? No she was very fair to cbs in her writings and thankful they gave her an opportunity. She didnt sit around and complain like she should have been in charge.
