The new building incorporates elements of Googie architecture, a style that thrived along America’s roadsides in the 1950s and ‘60s. Googie architecture originated in Southern California and demanded motorists’ attention with bright colors, bold angles and pop-culture imagery.
That sounds like half an excuse to visit Lebanon. It won't open for a year, so there's plenty of time to find the other half. The Golden Lamb is not the other half.

That's hardly a reason to visit Lebanon. Such a Big Boy already exists on Central Parkway between Cincinnati State and the Hopple St exit from 75.
I've driven by it many times, but I never looked closely because I was busy talking on my phone. I mean driving.
Is it really a Googie Frisch's? I'll go check it out right now since I'm hungry. A friend told me Frisch's still has liver & onions on the menu.
I think I'll stick to the Big Boy platter myself. And thanks for saving me the trip to Lebanon.
